AC Milan's Kaladze sorry for outburst

11/25/2008 - Milan, Italy (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Georgia international Kakha Kaladze has apologized for his outspoken comments about the referee following AC Milan's 2-2 draw at Torino on Sunday.

Kaladze was furious when referee Stefano Farina ruled that he had handled the ball after it had rebounded off his thigh, with Torino netting from the resulting penalty.

A livid Kaladze had said after the draw: "Maybe the referee doesn't know the rules. If the ball hits your arm after hitting your body then we all know it's not a penalty."

However, after mulling over his comments, the defender said on Monday: "I am very sorry for my reaction on Sunday night.

"Without a doubt it was because of the post-match tension. I would like to clarify that I did criticize the referee but only from a technical point of view."

The weekend results have left the second-placed Rossoneri three points behind city rivals Inter Milan.
