Toronto, ON (Sports Network) - The Toronto Maple Leafs announced on Wednesday that they have assigned forward Nikolai Kulemin to the minors. Kulemin was sent to the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League after skating in 40 games with the Maple Leafs this season. The rookie notched seven goals and seven assists in that span. The 22-year-old Russian was Toronto's second-round choice of the 2006 Entry Draft, taken 44th overall.
